In this course, you will learn the basics of a boom-type elevating work platform. This can be in the form of a telescoping, hinged or articulated device used to support a platform to elevate people, materials or equipment. Students will learn to do the following:

Boom-type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.
The course is offered as a combined ASQA and WorkSafe Victoria unit package. ACE Training will deliver the training through classroom instruction and realistic learning environments. ACE Training’s qualified assessors will assess the participants’ competence through a series of verbal and written questions and practical demonstrations. A course overview will be provided upon completion of the enrolment process.
Successful students who pass the assessment by our qualified assessor will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005 Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform 11 Metres or More. Students will also need to apply to Worksafe Victoria, the Victorian WorkCover Authority, for a National licence to Perform High-Risk Work after successfully completing this course. The training assessor will assist with this process.
